How do we love Sarah Burton? Let us count the ways…number one being the way that she has carried on the Alexander McQueen name with collections that lack for none of the craftsmanship and adept execution of the fantasy world that was pure McQueen. We gasped when we saw this platform on the runway and it has now hit the market. We don’t even know where to begin with this shoe: the cool armor-like metal plating is an amazing contrast to the feather detail and the 7-inch heel is only for the most serious of stylephiles among us. Net-a-Porter’s editor’s notes mention that this is a perfect shoe for a “modern nuptial”, and we have to say that we really want to be at the wedding where the bride walks down the aisle in this shoe. Yes, at over $4,000 it is an understatement to call this an investment shoe, but you know we love us some fashion daydreams, and it just doesn’t get any dreamier than an exquisite McQueen platform. Sigh…
