Reveal Your Inner Beauty with the Nude Makeup Trend

So, we know it can be a bit conflicting when everything you see in magazines, music videos and on television seems to point to wearing tons of color and bright shades on eyes, cheeks, lips and nails. However, just as there is a trend towards brights this summer, there’s also a huge nude makeup trend which is equally as fun, sexy and exciting! Nude makeup makes a great statement, especially when you’re rocking a vibrant pattern or bold, bright color! Here are a few of our favorite nude products for women of color who are ready to “bare a little beauty”  this summer!

Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer Oil-Free with SPF 15, $40, This amazing tinted moisturizer comes in nine shades ranging from Alabaster to Deep. It glides on smooth and provides light coverage giving your skin the moisture and hydration it needs without the heavy feeling and appearance of foundation. This is a great product to help you achieve the naturally nude beauty look!

NARS Sheer Lipstick in Little Darling, $24, – This shade works well with light to medium skinned women of color as its a basic beige nude with a hint of pink. It’s a sheer formula so it will impart the lip with a hint of color with which you can build upon if you want more of an impact.

MAC Lipstick in Lush Amber, $14.50, This is a fabulous creamy lipstick for medium to dark skinned women as it’s warm and luscious without being too dark. It’s a great medium nude tone that works well when worn alone or with a lipliner.

Cargo Cosmetics Bronzer in Medium, $28, – Every woman needs a great bronzer as it adds dimension and warmth to the face while also helping to contour and define. This warm bronzer is the ideal tone for most women of color and is the perfect way to complete the nude look.

Urban Decay Naked Palette, $48, – A wonderful way to add a touch of the nude trend to eyes. This palette comes complete with every shade you could possibly need to create the perfect nude eye for summer. With shimmers and mattes, there are a combination of shadows that can take you from barely there to smoky in seconds!
